Aluminum casting parts have excellent mechanical and physical properties. They can have a variety of comprehensive properties with different strengths, hardness, and toughness. There is no solidification zone of liquid and solid coexistence in the solidification process of pure aluminum or eutectic aluminum alloy, so the solid in the outer layer and the liquid in the inner layer on the section are separated by a boundary (solidification front). With the decrease in temperature, the solid layer continues to thicken and the liquid layer continues to decrease, reaching the center of aluminum casting. This solidification method is layer by layer solidification.
If the crystallization temperature range of aluminum alloy is very wide and the temperature distribution of the aluminum casting part is relatively flat, there is no solid layer on the surface of the casting during a certain period of solidification, and the solidification zone with the coexistence of liquid and solid runs through the whole section, which is similar to cement solidification, paste and then solidification, which is called paste solidification.
Most solidification is between layer by layer and pastes solidification, which is called intermediate solidification. Generally speaking, the quality of the aluminum casting part is closely related to its solidification mode. The filling ability of gold is strong, which is convenient to prevent shrinkage cavity and porosity; Paste solidification is the solidification method to obtain compact aluminum casting parts.
Through our observation and research, it is found that many factors are causing the surface oxidation of aluminum casting parts, mainly for the following reasons.
The equipment of aluminum casting parts is not well cleaned after use, resulting in a lot of material impurities adhering to the surface of castings, which will oxidize over time;
Or the solution in the casting, which generally contains metal elements, will also produce oxidation if soaked in the equipment for a long time;
In addition, the improper use of the equipment in the operation process causes damage to the equipment and oxidation.
In the face of the above oxidation reasons, we need to take corrective measures according to the actual situation, clean the casting in time after use, and keep the casting surface free of other impurities and pollution;
Improve the pouring capacity of objects and adopt appropriate production methods;
Clean the metal solution in the equipment in time. After cleaning, pour it with clean water and clean it several times;
For the treatment of production materials, the impurities contained in the materials shall be effective and the service time of the equipment shall be appropriately reduced.
